Museum Siam
About
Museum Siam is the Old City’s playful discovery museum unpacking Thai identity with hands-on rooms and sharp storytelling. On Sanam Chai Road, a 5-minute walk from Wat Pho and steps from Sanam Chai MRT (Exit 1). Open Tue–Sun 10am–6pm; closed Mon (last checked Oct 2024). Tickets: 200 THB (~$5.50) adults, with student discounts.
Expect bilingual exhibits, interactive media, and photo-friendly sets that actually teach—Ayutthaya trade routes, street-food origins, and how “Thai-ness” evolved. Thai families, school groups, and temple-weary travelers come for the AC and stay to debate history. Easy add-on between the Grand Palace and Tha Tien pier.
