What is Panang Curry?
Panang is a red curry with peanuts and spices in the paste, cooked down with thick coconut cream until it clings to the meat rather than floating in a soup.
It is finished with finely shredded kaffir lime leaf and often a swirl of coconut cream; beef and pork are classic.
Rich and mild-to-medium in heat, it is an easy curry to love.
Regional versions
Panang neua (beef) and panang moo (pork) are the most common.
How to order it
“Panang neua” with rice.
