For something more authentic, the Bang Nam Phueng Floating Market in the Bang Kachao area (Bangkok's "green lung," which technically sits in Samut Prakan) offers weekend cycling and a peaceful canal-side market. The province is essentially Greater Bangkok with cheaper accommodation and a few worthwhile attractions.
