Aquino Center and Museum Guide

The Aquino Center and Museum is located in Tarlac City, Tarlac, Philippines. It is approximately 15 kilometers away from the capital city of Nueva Ecija province. The museum is dedicated to the legacy of the late Senator Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino Jr. and his wife, former President Corazon "Cory" Aquino.

The museum was built in 2001 and officially opened to the public in 2008. It is situated on a 4-hectare land and houses various artifacts, memorabilia, and exhibits that depict the life and struggles of the Aquino family in their fight for democracy and freedom in the Philippines.

Exhibits and Attractions

One of the main attractions of the museum is the replica of the prison cell where Ninoy Aquino was incarcerated during the Marcos regime. Visitors can enter the cell and experience the cramped and dark conditions that Ninoy had to endure for years.

Another highlight of the museum is the multimedia presentation that showcases the life and achievements of Cory Aquino as the first female president of the Philippines. The presentation features interviews with Cory, her family, and friends, as well as archival footage of her presidency.

The museum also has a library that houses various books, journals, and articles related to Philippine history and politics, as well as a gallery that features paintings, sculptures, and other artworks.

The Aquino Center and Museum is located at Barangay San Miguel, Tarlac City, Tarlac, Philippines. It is accessible by car, bus, or jeepney. From Manila, you can take a bus bound for Tarlac City and alight at the museum. You can also take a jeepney from the city center and ask the driver to drop you off at the museum. Admission and Hours

The museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Admission fee for adults is PHP 100, while students and senior citizens can avail of a discounted rate of PHP 80. Children below 7 years old can enter for free.
