Kurama-dera Temple in Nantan Area
Kurama-dera Temple is a Buddhist temple located in the Nantan area of Kyoto, Kyoto, Japan. It is situated on Mount Kurama, which is approximately 1,000 meters above sea level. The temple was founded in 770 by a monk named Gantei and is one of the most famous temples in Kyoto.

Getting There
Kurama-dera Temple is located approximately 30 minutes from Kyoto Station by train. Take the Eizan Line to Kurama Station and then transfer to the Kurama Cable Car. The temple is a short walk from the top of the cable car station.

The temple is open daily from 9:00am to 4:30pm. Admission is 300 yen for adults and 200 yen for children.
