Chimei Museum in Xinying District Area

About the Museum

The Chimei Museum is a private museum located in the Xinying District area of Tainan City, Taiwan. It was founded by the late Taiwanese entrepreneur Shi Wen-long in 1992 and opened to the public in 1992. The museum has a collection of over 13,000 items including Western art, musical instruments, weapons, and natural history specimens.

Visiting Information

The museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday, 9:30am to 5:30pm. Admission is NT$200 for adults and NT$100 for students and seniors. Children under 6 years old are free. Guided tours are available for an additional fee.
