The Tempozan Ferris Wheel is a giant Ferris wheel located in the Chuo Ward area of Osaka, Japan. It is one of the largest Ferris wheels in the world, standing at a height of 112.5 meters (369 feet). The Ferris wheel has 60 transparent gondolas that can hold up to 8 passengers each. The ride takes approximately 15 minutes to complete, offering breathtaking views of Osaka Bay and the surrounding area.
History
The Tempozan Ferris Wheel was opened in 1997 to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the founding of Osaka. It was designed by the Dutch company Vekoma, and was the tallest Ferris wheel in the world at the time of its opening. It held this title until 1999, when it was surpassed by the London Eye.
