About the Museum

The National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts is located in Taichung City, Taiwan. It is the only national fine arts museum in Taiwan and is dedicated to the promotion and development of contemporary art in the country. The museum was established in 1988 and has since become a prominent cultural institution in Taiwan.


The museum features a wide range of exhibitions throughout the year, showcasing the work of both local and international artists. Past exhibitions have included installations, paintings, sculptures, and multimedia works. The museum also hosts educational programs and workshops for visitors of all ages.


The National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts is housed in a modern building designed by Japanese architect Kurokawa Kisho. Admission to the museum is free for all visitors. However, some special exhibitions may require an admission fee.
