Wiharn Phra Mongkhon Bophit

This enormous viharn houses one of Thailand's largest bronze Buddha images, a 12.5-meter seated figure covered in gold leaf. The building was reconstructed in 1956 after the original was destroyed. Located right next to Wat Phra Si Sanphet, it's one of the most impressive single-statue experiences in Ayutthaya. The scale hits you the moment you step inside.
