WEST COAST VIEWPOINT

High on the northwest ridge above Sairee Beach in Koh Tao North, West Coast Viewpoint frames the island’s classic shot: Sairee’s long arc below, Koh Nang Yuan off the right, and the sun melting into the Gulf. Reach it via the steep hill road from north Sairee, then a final 10–15 minute walk on a rocky path. Aim for sunset (about 5:45pm–6:30pm, ICT). Photographers, couples, and sunset chasers gather here for wide-open panoramas without a marathon hike. Wear decent shoes, bring water and a headlamp for the descent. No frills up top—just granite boulders, sea breeze, and the island at your feet.
