Wat Tham Phanthurat

Wat Tham Phanthurat is a cave temple near Khao Sok Village, combining Buddhist worship with a natural limestone cavern. The cave contains Buddha images and shrine areas, with stalactites and stalagmites adding a dramatic natural element. A stairway leads up to the cave entrance, and the interior stays cool even on hot days. It's a short detour from the main village, and well worth the visit for the unusual setting. Dress modestly and bring a flashlight.
