Wat Song Phi Nong

Wat Song Phi Nong is a local Buddhist temple on the edge of Khao Sok Village. It's not a major tourist attraction, but that's part of its appeal. The grounds are peaceful, maintained by resident monks, and shaded by old-growth trees. Visitors are welcome to walk the grounds quietly and respectfully. Early morning is the best time to visit, when the monks do their chanting rounds. Dress modestly: cover shoulders and knees.
