Wat Phra Si Sanphet

About

The most sacred temple on the old royal palace grounds, Wat Phra Si Sanphet's three iconic chedis once held the ashes of Ayutthaya's kings. This was the royal chapel — no monks lived here. The ruins are remarkably well-preserved and the three aligned chedis are Ayutthaya's most recognizable silhouette. Best photographed in early morning or late afternoon light. Entry fee 50 baht.
