วัดปานุราชประชาสรรค์
Leafy Pak Nam temple in Krabi Town with a Bodh Gaya–style chedi, incense-scented courtyards and a calm, local vibe — a peaceful pause from the beach run.
About
Set in the Pak Nam quarter of Krabi Town, วัดปานุราชประชาสรรค์ is a quiet, leafy temple locals use for daily merit‑making and evening chanting. The standout is its Bodh Gaya–inspired chedi that peeks over the treeline — a photogenic landmark that feels a world away from Ao Nang’s beach crowds.
Wander the shaded grounds and you’ll pass a simple ubosot (ordination hall), prayer pavilions and a small meditation area where residents slip in after work. It’s calm here: incense curling in the heat, birdsong carrying through the trees, the occasional gong before prayers. If you come around late afternoon, the light on the chedi is lovely and the temperature is kinder.
Practicalities: the temple sits in Pak Nam, a short ride from Krabi Town’s center. Dress modestly (shoulders and knees covered), remove shoes before entering halls, and keep voices low if monks are chanting. There’s no tourist infrastructure — just a sincere neighborhood temple — which is exactly the charm.
