About
Known locally as Wat Hua Talat, Wat Nikornchanaram sits in Pattani’s old town on Na Kluea Road, a short stroll from the neighborhood market. Step through the gate and the city noise drops to a murmur: incense hangs in the air, prayer bells chime in the breeze, and you’ll often catch locals offering morning merit under the shade of old trees.
It’s a small, lived‑in temple with a peaceful ubosot and simple courtyards where you can pause out of the sun. Come early—around 7–9am—for the soft light and a glimpse of daily rhythms as monks return from alms rounds. Late afternoon is just as calming when the heat eases and the compound glows gold.
Pair your visit with a wander through the nearby Hua Talat area on Na Kluea Road, then circle back here for a quiet reset before continuing into Pattani’s riverfront streets. Dress modestly (shoulders and knees covered) and move gently—this is an active community temple first, a photo stop second. Entry is free; donations at the sala help with upkeep.
