Wat Na Phra Meru Rachikaram

About

Across the river from the main island, Wat Na Phra Meru survived the Burmese sack of 1767 largely intact, making it one of Ayutthaya's most architecturally complete temples. The main hall houses a crowned seated Buddha in royal regalia, unusual in Thai Buddhist art. The viharn behind it contains a rare Dvaravati-period stone Buddha. Fewer crowds than Wat Mahathat, more to see.
