On the north moat, just west of Chang Phuak Gate (North Gate) on Manee Nopparat Rd, Wat Lok Moli mixes a hulking 16th‑century brick chedi with a dark‑teak Lanna viharn carved in silver and wood, guarded by naga. It’s photogenic and surprisingly calm compared to Wat Phra Singh or Chedi Luang.
Free entry (donations welcome), daylight hours, modest dress; shoes off at the viharn. Go late afternoon for soft light on the chedi, then walk 5 minutes to Chang Phuak Night Market for dinner (the pork‑leg “cowgirl” stall fires up around 5pm).
