Wat Khlong Phrao

Wat Khlong Phrao is a Buddhist temple on Koh Chang set back from the coast near Klong Prao canal. The temple grounds are peaceful and largely empty of tourists — most visitors head to the beaches, leaving this a quiet spot for contemplation. Entry is free. The main prayer hall features traditional Thai Buddhist murals and a gilded Buddha image. Monks hold morning alms rounds starting at 6am along the nearby road. If you visit during a Buddhist holiday, you'll see local Thai families making merit with food offerings and flowers.
