Wat Duang Di
About
Wat Duang Di is an easy add-on to any Old City wander—a quiet Lanna-era temple tucked inside the moat, away from the tour-bus circuit. Come for the dark-wood viharn with its crisp gilded trim and naga-lined steps, and stay for a few calm minutes under the trees while scooters hum on the next street over.
Swing by early (8am–10am) or late afternoon (after 4pm) for soft light and fewer people. It’s a small, respectful stop: shoulders covered, shoes off at the halls, quick photos are fine. Perfect palate cleanser between the big-name temples.
