Pull up a chair right on the sand at Wang Sai Seafood, a long‑running beachfront spot on the Ao Nang side of Hat Noppharat Thara. The scene is pure Krabi: sea breeze, longtail boats drifting past, and sunset views that light up the whole bay. It’s a casual, open‑air setup built for big groups and unhurried meals. Come hungry and pick from the catch of the day — whole fish, prawns, crabs, sometimes even lobster — cooked to order. Regulars go straight for BBQ grilled prawns and a steamed fish with lime and garlic that hits all the Thai notes: sour, spicy, fragrant. Portions are generous, seafood is priced by weight, and there’s plenty for non‑seafood eaters too. Best time to roll in is late afternoon for golden hour; by 6:00–6:30pm the sky usually puts on a show. It’s about 5 minutes from central Ao Nang by tuk‑tuk or scooter, at 98 Moo 3 right on the beach. Open daily 11am–10pm.
