Toilet Graveyard
A quirky back‑alley “graveyard” of stacked toilets and basins in Talat Noi’s auto‑parts quarter — free to see, great for photos. Go late afternoon for soft light, keep it respectful; it’s a working street, not a theme park.
About
Bangkok has a sense of humor, and nowhere is it more obvious than at the so‑called Toilet Graveyard — a back‑lane wall of stacked porcelain bowls, tanks and basins in the old scrap-and-auto‑parts quarter near Talat Noi, on the edge of Chinatown. Sunlight bounces off the white glaze, scooters zigzag past, and you’ll catch the mix of engine oil, incense and wok smoke that defines this neighborhood.
It’s a quirky photo stop, but remember it’s a working street, not a museum. Go late morning or around 4–5pm for softer light, keep to the side, and don’t climb on anything. There’s no ticket — it’s just part of daily life — so be quick, be respectful, and support a nearby stall with a cold drink after your snaps. Pair it with a slow wander through Talat Noi’s street art and shophouses, or a riverside coffee before heading back toward Khao San.
