Weekend riverside market at Saphan Hin Khwang in Krabi Old Town. Cheap local eats, breezy canal views and a casual karaoke stage from early evening. Best 4pm–8pm on Sat–Sun; come for golden-hour snacks and a relaxed, family crowd.
About
Krabi’s old town has a new weekend habit: a laid‑back riverside market strung along Saphan Hin Khwang (the small bridge over the canal). From around 4pm the walkway fills with grills, woks and coolers—locals come to snack, chat and watch the light fade over the limestone hills. It’s simple, friendly and very local, with benches and steps along the water where you can sit and graze.
Expect plenty of southern Thai bites and homestyle plates—skewers hot off the charcoal, stir‑fries ladled over rice, fruit shakes and Thai sweets—priced for the neighborhood rather than tourists. As the evening warms up, a casual karaoke setup keeps things lively without drowning the canal breeze. It’s an easy way to taste Krabi without a restaurant table.
You’ll find it right at Saphan Hin Khwang in Pak Nam, a short hop from Krabi Town’s riverfront. The market runs Saturdays and Sundays, roughly 4pm–8pm (hours last verified Sep 2026). Come for golden hour, stay for a second round, and bring cash—stalls are independent and sell out when they sell out.
