The Oasis Thalang

Leafy “green tunnel” linking Thalang and Dibuk in Old Phuket Town — indie cafes, bar carts, small shops and clean toilets. Best from late afternoon to 8pm, especially before or after the Sunday market. Free entry, right off Thalang Road.

About

Slip off Thalang Road and you’ll find a leafy passage locals now call The Oasis — a 150‑metre green tunnel linking Thalang to Dibuk in Phuket Old Town. Potted palms, climbing vines and strings of lights turn this once-forgotten gap between buildings into a breezy cut‑through with indie cafes, bar carts and small shops tucked along the way. Come late afternoon when the heat eases and the lanterns click on. Grab an iced coffee, poke around for handmade accessories and postcards, then pop out on Dibuk Road for more heritage shophouses and street eats. It’s a handy shortcut if you’re doing the Sunday market on Thalang, and yes — the toilets here are clean, which regulars quietly appreciate. Practical bit: entry is free, and you’ll find it midway along Thalang Road, right in the historic core of Old Phuket Town. It’s easy to combine with Soi Romanee, Bukit street art and a snack stop at Kopitiam by Wilai around the corner.
