When the sun dips in Yasothon, head to the municipal night market at Soi Rattana Khet and follow the smoke and chatter. From around 5pm, rows of carts roll out, woks fire up, and plastic stools fill with after‑work locals and students grabbing easy dinners. It’s casual, lively, and very local. Expect proper Isan street food alongside comforting Thai classics. Regulars come for bowls of fiery fish‑head tom yum and plates of khanom jeen with rich curry ladles, but you’ll also find skewers, noodles, grills, and plenty of sweets to finish. Everything is cooked to order, so it’s worth doing a slow lap to see what’s sizzling before you commit. It’s right in Nai Mueang, just off Rattana Khet Road, so it’s an easy stop before or after an evening stroll. Come hungry, bring small bills, and aim for sunset—stalls are in full swing by early evening and start winding down around 9pm.
