Sunrise Beach

Sunrise Beach is Koh Lipe's east-facing shore, where the water is glass-calm in the morning and the sand is powdery white. It's the island's prettiest beach by most counts, stretching over a kilometer with resorts along its length. Free to access from multiple paths off Walking Street. Snorkeling is decent right off the shore — coral starts about 20 meters out. The beach gets busy by mid-morning, so early risers have it best. Sunrise here is exactly as good as the name promises. Bring coffee.
