Soup Jehyoh Pattani
Legendary Pattani beef soup cooked over charcoal. Order the mixed-beef bowl (from 70 THB) with a smoky wok omelet and hot rice. Simple shophouse on Yarang Rd near Talubo Bridge; go by 11am–2pm for the freshest cuts. Halal, closed Fridays.
About
This is the bowl locals swear by when they crave real southern-style beef soup. A tiny, old-school shophouse on Yarang Road, it works the charcoal stove from late morning till mid‑afternoon, sending out fragrant steam that smells like pepper, slow-cooked bones and toasted spices. Order the mixed-beef soup and you’ll get a generous tangle of brisket, tendon and tripe in a clear, punchy broth. Regulars pair it with a smoky charcoal-fried omelet and fresh hot rice — simple, perfect, and cheap.
Prices start around 70 THB for a basic bowl, and you can scale up with extra cuts if you’re hungry. It’s halal, family-run, and service is brisk; expect a friendly crowd dropping in from the nearby Talubo Bridge and checkpoint. Space is tight and the best cuts go early, so aim for 11am–2pm if you want the pick of the pot.
You’ll find it opposite the Talubo checkpoint at the entrance to town, a short hop from the bridge on Yarang Road (Tambon Chabang Tiko, Mueang Pattani). Doors open 10am–4:30pm and it’s closed on Fridays — a good excuse to plan your Pattani lunch run for the weekend. Hours last checked July 2026.
