Pattani River Walk ทางเดินรอบแม่น้ำปัตตานี
Easy riverfront stroll along Narindaraj Rd with breeze, bridge views, and real Pattani life. Best at golden hour; free and family-friendly near the Central Mosque and Decha Nuchit Bridge.
About
Pattani’s riverfront has a simple pleasure that sneaks up on you. Follow Narindaraj Road along the Pattani River and you’ll find a broad walkway with shade trees, benches, and a steady sea breeze rolling in from the Gulf. It’s where the city unwinds: aunties power-walk at first light, students jog at dusk, and families pause to watch the water drift past the Decha Nuchit Bridge while the minarets and rooftops of old town glow across the river.
Come in the late afternoon when the heat softens and the sky turns gold. Start near the Central Mosque end and amble towards the bridge; you’ll pass locals casting lines, kids on bikes, and the odd street cart setting up as the day cools. If you’re here during festival season, the riverfront hosts light-and-water shows and community events right by the bridge — the whole promenade becomes a front-row seat to Pattani at play.
It’s free, easy, and very local. Wear light clothes and bring water if you’re out midday — shade can be patchy. For a longer loop, pair the river walk with a detour into the Chinese quarter around Anoru Road (San Chao Mae Lim Ko Niao) before circling back to the water for sunset.
