Paradise Pai
Hilltop sunset bar with live circus and fire shows (Thu & Sun, 8:30pm; last checked Mar 2026). Bamboo decks, bonfire vibes, and an easy ride from Walking Street make it a no-brainer for golden hour that rolls into a late night.
About
Paradise Pai is where Pai’s day fades into night. Tucked on the Mae Hi side of town just past the rice fields, this hilltop bar pulls a sunset crowd for golden-hour views and stays buzzing till late. You’ll find bamboo decks strung with lights, a bonfire when the air cools, and plenty of hammocks and low tables to sink into while the valley turns purple. It’s an easy ride from Walking Street and close to Fluid Pool, but once you’re up here, you won’t be in a rush to head back down.
Expect high-energy nights when the Paradise Circus crew takes over — live circus and fire performances that draw half the town. Shows usually kick off around 8:30pm on Thursdays and Sundays (last checked March 2026), and there’s often a small door fee on performance nights. Between sets, the music swings from chilled daytime grooves to dance-ready after dark, with a friendly, all-welcome backpacker crowd keeping the vibe loose and social.
Come for the sunset and stay for the show. Paradise Pai pours the standards (beers, buckets, simple mixers) and keeps things casual — no dress code, no fuss, just good views and a lively scene. If you’re based in Mae Hi or exploring the countryside around Pai, this is the spot to aim for as the sky goes orange. Open daily from 10am to 1am, and easiest to reach by scooter or songthaew from town.
