Pai Walking Street
Pai’s nightly walking street turns the town center into a car-free food crawl from 6pm. Follow the lights from the bus station for street eats, smoothies, and handmade crafts. Busiest 7–9pm—arrive early to graze and stroll.
About
From sunset, Pai’s main drag flips to a car-free night market that’s easy to love. Lanterns go up, grills fire, and the whole street turns into an evening stroll with something tempting every few steps. Start near the Pai Bus Station and wander toward Wat Klang as stalls line both sides with street food, fresh smoothies, and sweet things for dessert.
It’s a global grazing session: northern Thai bites next to bao and burritos, skewers sizzling beside veggie bowls and crepes. In between the food, you’ll find handmade jewelry, simple cotton clothing, soaps, postcards, and a few proper crafts worth packing. Buskers keep the mood light while you pick your next snack.
Go around 6:30pm to beat the peak; the busiest window is 7–9pm. It usually runs till around midnight, but most food stalls wind down earlier once they sell out. Bring small cash (some vendors take QR), and don’t rush it—the fun is in the slow wander, tasting as you go.
