North Pattaya Beach
Quieter end of Pattaya’s main beach near Terminal 21 and Dolphin Roundabout — west‑facing sunsets, soft sand, easy swims, loungers and fruit shakes on the sand, with songthaews running along Beach Road for an easy hop-on, hop-off beach day.
About
North Pattaya Beach is the quieter, cleaner end of Pattaya’s main strip of sand, running from the Dolphin Roundabout up by Terminal 21 Pattaya down toward Central Pattaya. It faces due west, so late afternoons glow gold and sunsets can be spectacular when the sky cooperates. There’s a palm-lined promenade, soft rebuilt sand, and an easy-going vibe that feels a world away from the louder bar scene further south.
Days here are simple: claim a lounger under an umbrella, order an iced coconut or a fruit shake from the beach vendors, and wander down for a swim when the sea is calm. Jet skis and parasails flicker in and out near the marked zones, while joggers and dog walkers take over the promenade in the early morning before the heat kicks in. If you want a quick bite or air‑con break, Terminal 21’s food court is a five‑minute stroll from the sand.
It’s also one of the easiest spots in town to reach: hop a songthaew (baht bus) along Beach Road and jump off at the Dolphin Roundabout. Come around 5pm for that honeyed light and stay for sunset; after dark, the beach stays open and the promenade is lively without feeling hectic. Free entry, always open, and reliably relaxed — North Pattaya Beach is where locals recharge and visitors realize Pattaya can slow down when you let it.
