Luke Yon Bay
Ko Samet’s mellow cove a short walk from Na Dan Pier — clear, calm water, soft sand, and room to breathe. Swim at sunrise, snorkel the rocky edges, then wander back to Sai Kaew for lunch.
About
A small, quiet cove on Ko Samet’s northeast side, Luke Yon Bay is where you go for a first swim and a deep exhale. The water is glassy and clear, the sand is pale and soft, and there’s usually space to spread a mat under the pines. It’s an easy escape from the busier Sai Kaew stretch — close enough to walk from Na Dan Pier, but far enough that most day‑trippers don’t bother.
Come early for sunrise light and calm seas, then ease into the day with a lazy float or a book in the shade. The rocky edges shelter small fish, so bring a mask for a casual snorkel along the sides when the water’s clear. There are no big beach bars or jet skis here — pick up cold drinks and snacks in town and keep it simple. When you’re ready for lunch or something livelier, wander back toward Sai Kaew in 10–15 minutes.
Practical: Luke Yon Bay sits a short walk southeast of Na Dan Pier on Ko Samet (Mueang Rayong District). Weekdays stay mellow; Thai holiday weekends draw more locals. Aim for early morning or late afternoon for softer sun and fewer people.
