พิพิธภัณฑ์เจ้าแม่ลิ้มกอเหนี่ยว
Compact museum next to Leng Chu Kiang Shrine tracing Pattani’s Chinese roots and the legend of Lim Ko Niao. Clear displays, QR‑guided stories. Open Tue–Sun 9am–4pm (Wed to 5pm). Ideal 30–45 min stop before paying respects at the shrine.
About
Tucked beside Leng Chu Kiang Shrine on Anoru Road, this small, modern museum tells the story of Pattani’s Chinese community and the legendary Chao Mae Lim Ko Niao. Expect well‑curated galleries, clean air‑con rooms, and a clear narrative that connects trade routes, family lineages, and the annual Lim Ko Niao procession that lights up the old town every February.
Exhibits mix archival photos, objects from Chinese shophouses, and easy‑to‑digest media. QR codes and short videos guide you through the tale of Lim Ko Niao and her brother Lim Toh Khiam, plus the rise of Pattani’s riverside market quarter. It’s compact—you can see it all in 30–45 minutes—but you’ll leave with context that makes the shrine next door far more meaningful.
Practical tip: come late morning, then step straight into the shrine for incense and a look at the river by Dechanuchit Bridge. The museum is in the old Chinese quarter (Anoru), about 10 minutes’ drive from Krue Se Mosque. Doors close at 4pm most days (5pm on Wednesday), and it’s closed on Monday, so time your visit accordingly.
