Klong Thom Center
Bangkok’s classic electronics bazaar on Worachak Road: car stereos, dashcams, LED strips, phone spares and tools at wholesale-style prices. Open daily 10am–5pm (Wed from 7:30am). A quick taxi from Khao San.
About
The heart of Bangkok’s DIY scene beats at Klong Thom Center, a warren of electronics and hardware shops along Worachak Road. Walk in and you’ll pass glass cases of car stereos and dashcams, trays of phone batteries and cables, coils of LED strip lighting, bins of screws, switches, and tools. It’s loud, a little chaotic, and incredibly useful if you need parts, repairs, or a cheap replacement on the fly.
Come with a list and a bit of patience. You’ll find phone accessories, power banks, soldering gear, flashlights, CCTV bits, and plenty of toys and housewares mixed in. Prices skew wholesale-style and bargaining is normal for bigger buys—test items on the spot and bring model numbers to match. Most shops keep daytime hours, and the vibe is busiest on weekends.
Practical notes: it’s on Worachak Road, a quick taxi ride from Khao San Road, and easy to pair with nearby Mega Plaza Saphan Lek if you’re hunting for hobby and toy shops. Official hours run roughly 10am–5pm daily (Wednesday from 7:30am); go earlier in the day for the best selection and more shutters up.
