Klong Son Elephant Camp Koh Chang

Elephant time in the Klong Son valley: feeding, walking, and river baths in a proper jungle setting. Open daily 6am–8pm, about 10 minutes from White Sand. Rides are offered; many opt for bathing and feeding. Call +66 61 565 8155 to book.

About

Tucked up the Klong Son valley, this long-running elephant camp is the closest wildlife experience to the ferry and White Sand Beach. Mornings are the sweet spot: cool air, mist still hanging over the trees, and keepers leading their elephants down to the river. You can help with feeding, walk alongside them, and join a river bath that’s more splash zone than photo op. Rides are offered here, but many visitors skip the seat and stick to bathing and feeding sessions instead. Expect simple, rustic facilities and a very jungle setting — you’re off the main road on a red-dirt track, about 10 minutes from White Sand and 15 minutes from Ao Sapparot Pier. It’s family-friendly, with Thai holidaymakers and small groups coming through all day. Open daily from 6am to 8pm. Call ahead or message the page to line up a slot, especially in high season (December–April). If you’re not renting a scooter, most hotels or local songthaews can arrange a quick return transfer to the camp.
