Hua Ro is one of Ayutthaya's oldest market areas, sitting at the head of the road leading to the river. The market has operated in various forms for centuries. Today it sells fresh produce, prepared food, household goods, and local snacks. Early morning is the best time when vendors are setting up and the food is freshest. Thai street food here is excellent and cheap.
