About

Barefoot, beachside, and blissfully unhurried — Fin’s Stoned Bar is the Klong Khong sundowner you end up calling “home” for a week. Walk in off the sand and you’ll hit low tables, cushions, and a string of hammocks swaying under palm shade. The soundtrack leans reggae and downtempo, the crowd a friendly mix of Lanta old hands and backpackers swapping island tips. Roll up for golden hour and watch the sky burn out over the Andaman, beer in hand and toes in the sand. Drinks are easygoing — cold beers and fruity rum mixes that suit the heat — and there’s proper beach fuel if you settle in. Regulars rave about the pineapple fried rice, and the kitchen turns out the Thai comfort plates you actually want after a swim. After dark the fairy lights click on, the pool table gets busy, and there’s live sports on the TV; some nights a DJ slides in with laid‑back beats that keep the vibe mellow rather than manic. You’ll find it mid‑island on Klong Khong Beach (Moo 2, Sala Dan), an easy stroll along the sand path. Doors usually open around 1pm and it’s a solid call from late afternoon through midnight when the breeze is up and the beach cools down.
