Everest Handmade on Tanao Road (ถนนตะนาว), just off Khao San’s east end, is the antidote to souvenir stalls. Expect handmade crafts and travel-friendly gifts — woven textiles, stitched pouches, small decor and paper goods — with a more careful finish than the street racks. Swing by as you cut through Banglamphu between Khao San and Ratchadamnoen. The mood is unhurried, the kind of shop where you can actually handle the fabrics and compare colors. Backpackers hunting quality keepsakes and locals grabbing presents tend to stop here before heading back to Khao San for a 9pm drink.
