About

ICONSIAM’s riverfront pier is where the blue‑flag Chao Phraya Tourist Boat pulls in — your easiest hop‑on, hop‑off gateway to Bangkok’s big‑ticket sights by water. Buy a day pass at the small kiosk by the dock or onboard, then cruise between ICONSIAM, Wat Arun, Tha Tien (Wat Pho), the Grand Palace area, Chinatown, and Sathorn (BTS Saphan Taksin). Boats run roughly every 30 minutes, the crew is used to first‑timers, and boarding is well‑signed along the promenade facing the river. Go early to beat the heat or time it for golden hour — the run between ICONSIAM and Wat Arun around sunset is a postcard. Expect short queues on weekends and late afternoons. As of March 2026, the all‑day pass is around 150 THB (~$4) and single rides are available too; services operate about 8:30am–7:15pm with the last departures around 7:15pm from Sathorn. You can pay cash at the pier or onboard. Getting here is painless: ride the BTS Gold Line to Charoen Nakhon Station and walk straight into ICONSIAM, then follow signs down to the river. Coming from Khao San Road, walk to Phra Arthit Pier (N13) and ride the blue‑flag boat downstream to ICONSIAM. If you’re sticking around after, dip into SOOKSIAM on the ground floor for regional Thai snacks, or step back outside to catch the fountains on the river walk in the evening.
