About
There’s a reason people detour off Sai Kaew for this little wood-and-glass cabin in the trees. Brown Cabin Chocolate Cafe sits opposite Baan Ploy Sea on the north side of Koh Samet, wrapped in tropical greenery and a rose garden that begs for photos. Step in from the beach heat and you’re met with the smell of cocoa and fresh bakes, soft music, and a calm, island pace.
Come for their chocolate-first menu: the Brown Signature Chocolate (135 THB/~$3.70) is rich without being heavy, and pairs well with a zingy Passion Fizz (135 THB) if you’re running hot. Sweet tooth in tow? Locals rave about the banoffee (135 THB), strawberry croffle (110 THB), and a proper Sacher slice (120 THB). Portions are right for an afternoon pick‑me‑up, not a sugar coma.
It’s an easy coffee stop if you’re exploring Noi Na side or staying nearby; aim for late afternoon when the light through the trees turns golden and the garden feels extra photogenic. Prices are fair for the island, service is kind, and it’s the sort of place where time stretches. Open Monday–Thursday 10am–5pm, Friday–Sunday 9am–6pm (last checked this month).
