By dusk, food carts cluster on side streets with quick dinners and snacks—think grilled meats, noodle bowls, fresh fruit and Thai sweets—perfect fuel before or after a Khao San wander. It’s not curated or cute, just real Bangkok shopping. Practical tip: the market sits on 61 Chakrabongse Road, about a 5‑minute walk from Khao San and close to Phra Sumen Fort and the river. Most shops keep to daytime hours and stay open until around 10pm from Tuesday to Sunday; Mondays are generally closed.
