Ao-nang beach walk market

Beachfront night‑market vibe along Ao Nang’s promenade: skewers (20–40 THB), pad thai, mango sticky rice, fruit shakes, and roti. Best from sunset to late. Grab a bite, perch on the seawall, and watch the beach light up.

About

When the heat eases and the light goes gold, Ao Nang’s beachfront promenade turns into a rolling street market. Grills hiss, woks sing, and the sea breeze carries the smell of lemongrass and charcoal. Stalls line Route 4203 just off the sand, selling everything from moo ping skewers and crispy spring rolls to mango sticky rice and coconut ice cream. Fruit shake blenders never stop. Expect easy prices — 20–40 THB for skewers, 50–80 THB for roti, 60–100 THB for pad thai — and portions that are perfect for grazing as you walk. It’s casual and very Ao Nang: no fuss, no reservations, just grab-and-go eats and a beach wall to sit on. You’ll see backpackers, families fresh from the islands, and off-duty dive crews all doing the same sunset shuffle. If you want seafood, look for the grills with blue prawns and squid on ice; if you’ve got a sweet tooth, get rolled ice cream or a banana‑Nutella roti and thank us later. Drinks are easy — fresh coconuts, iced teas, or a cold Chang from the nearest minimart. Practical bits: the strip runs between Ao Nang Beach and Noppharat Thara, a flat 10‑minute stroll from the main Ao Nang junction. Stalls trade daily, roughly 9:00am–11:30pm, but it’s liveliest after sunset. Bring cash and small bills; card acceptance is rare. If the sky opens, expect fewer vendors. Last checked March 2026.
