About
Khao San’s most reliable pit stop sits right on the main drag, street-level at Rikka Inn. Open 24/7, this 7‑Eleven is where backpackers refuel between buckets, grab cash-friendly essentials, and get a hot bite when everywhere else is shut. Bright lights, humming fridges, the whir of the microwave — you’ll be in and out in minutes.
Go for the Thai-style toasties (ham-cheese, basil chicken) or a quick microwave rice bowl, plus steamed buns, chips, and ice cream for the walk home. Drinks run from 600ml water and electrolyte bottles to canned coffees and energy shots. Beer and RTDs are in the back fridges — sold 11am–2pm and 5pm–midnight by Thai law — with Leo and Singha usually the best value. Expect prices that suit travelers: water from ~14 THB, toasties ~29–35 THB, beers ~40–60 THB.
Practical wins: bug spray, sunscreen, rain ponchos, basic first aid, and SIM top-ups. It gets busiest around 8–10pm, but the staff keep the line moving and will toast your sandwich if you hand it over at the counter. If you’re staying anywhere along Khao San or Rambuttri, this branch is the quick fix you’ll use more than once.
