They offer a range of services not all tailors offer. They keep your measurements for five years and accept mail orders from around the world. They also offer free alteration. They'll come to your hotel or guesthouse room to provide their fitting service and you get up to four fittings! They use imported wool and silk materials from a variety of countries - 100% Cashmere, English, Gabardine, Mohair, and Piques Wool, Irish Linen, Italian Silk, and Chinese Silk, amongst others. They also specialize in leather clothing. They have 3 branches and a range of package deals.

Star Fashion is quite new to Khao San but the management partners with Mr. Raju – an 18 year veteran. Located on Rambuttri Road under Star Dome Inn, Star Fashion has lots to offer. Makers of ladies and gents hand tailored clothes, they have an excellent range of fabrics such as Cashmere wools, English wools, and 100% Thai silk. They do 3 fittings to make sure your clothes are perfect – at your hotel if necessary. Prices start around 2,800 Baht. They have a package for men: 1 jacket, 2 pants, 2 shirts and 2 ties for 6,000 Baht (with Cashmere wool – less for other materials like cotton). For women, 1 jacket, 2 skirts, 2 blouses and 1 pants for the same price. Silk dresses, winter overcoats and tuxedo suits also available. Ask for Mr Kriss who has 15 years experience and speaks good English.

Located in Rambutri Village under the ownership of Mr. Raju and Mrs. Kallajit, Hong Kong Tailors are a quiet sensation. They were 'Best Tailor 2003/2004' according to CP Allianz insurance company in Thailand and made suits for over 2,000 employees. Hong Kong Tailors has a number of special packages - 50 Euros for jacket and trousers (or skirt) made from 50% wool/cotton. For 80 Euros you get jacket, trousers (or skirt) plus shirt (or blouse) made from super 120 cashmere wool. For 120 Euros you get jacket, trousers (or skirt), shirt (or blouse) plus waistcoat made of super 180 cashmere wool. Also, cashmere wool winter coat for 60 Euros made from 90%cashmere wool (depending on length) and the same made of 100% cashmere for 100 Euros. Long Thai silk dress costs 36 Euros or 45 for Italian silk.

Pictured here, Khun Karma (Tom) of Fashion World provides made-to-measure suits and clothing for both men and women. Karma studied fashion design and knows his trade. You have to have at least four fittings before you get the finished goods! Fashion World's specials include 70% Kashmir wool jackets, trousers, shirt and waistcoat for $90. For women, the same price gets you a jacket, skirt and blouse. Take note that unlike other places, it takes at least 2 days before you can get your items so plan in advance. Not pushy, good service - worth a visit.

Part of a chain of boutiques around Bangkok, Pierre Boutique might come in slightly more expensive than other tailors in the area, but they are worth the money. Their advertising material shows a picture of country star Kenny Rogers getting suited up, and you can't get a better recommendation than that! Their package deal for men includes: 2 suits (cashmere or gaberdine wool), 2 shirts (pinpoint or oxford cotton or silk), and 2 silk ties - all for US$179. The package deal for women includes: 2 suits (cashmere, silk or linen), 2 blouses, (silk or cotton) and 2 silk scarves - all for US$189.
