Babs (babsje06@hotmail.com) writes: "I have to agree with someone on your forum. Mr. Tung, the tattoo artist from Angel-arts is absolutely the MASTER. He draws on your body, instead of making copies. Every drawing is unique ans personal. Mr. and Mrs. Tung are the friendliest people on Khao San Road. xx Babs." If you have any skin left, go and check them out!

Tattoo by Eak
Elson put this on our discussion boards... "Hi guys... hey this is Elson here... I am a tattoo artist from singapore. Just dropping a note to let u pple know of this fantastic tattooo artist who works at tattoo by eak... yeah thats his name, Eak. Anyone who's into total customisation of any genre from black and grey to abstract to nuskool to old school to letterings (English, Thai or Kanji for all that matter...) to oriental style (his forte) to ANYTHIING! The reason why I am so ardently promoting this dude here is that he did my thigh piece when i was there in Dec 2003. The tattoo is all customised. He showed me, in his words, "artist-to-artist respect" aplenty when I visited him. Well you guys should really check the studio out. There's eak and his partner Max. Just tell them Elson from Singapore sends his regards..." Staright from the heart! You should check Eak out of you want a tatto...

Tattoos

Brian McManus (bwmcmanus@hotmail.com) writes: "Hello - I was wondering if you had any information about a Buddhist temple in Thailand where the monks give tattoos. I will be in Thailand in the beginning of May and I want to get some work done by them. Any info would be great. Thanks Brian" Good question - Let us know if you hear anything... Send pictures!

You are there... You arrived in Bangkok and hit Khao San Road a few hours ago. You've got it all planned out... The full Monty! ... First you'll hit the north and do some trekking... then you'll hit the beaches, perhaps even arriving in time for the full moon party... BUT WAIT! What's the point of all these plans if you can't see clearly? Hazy experiences... No sites to see (properly)... You get the picture - serious! Luckily, one of Thailand's leading optician chains has had the 'vision' to open a branch on Khao San Road. Now travellers can sort out specs before they go on their adventures and have crystal clear memories while they get home.

Luckily for the people who use his services, Mr. Toy is a hygene freak - when I first went to his shop he threw me out for wearing dirty shoes! He knows his stuff - worth going into his shop just to see the pictures on the wall. WIERD!

Aloah folks, got a nice tattoo at toy's a nice guy who's not talking very much working with concentration and i thought he was stitching very hygienically... tattos nothing else i think the master himself doesn'T HAVE ONE SINGLE TATTOO! but mine is still of deep blackness, so i'm fine cheers.

With over three years experience, Lucky Tattoo and Piercing chisel some of the most intricate designs I have ever seen in a human body! The guy in the picture was paying 15,000 Baht for a tattoo that would take 3 HOURS to finish! If you like pain in a sterile environment, this is the place for you.

"Ouch!"

Sangwimon Barber
Khao San Road
Banglampu
Bangkok

This is a real taste of Thailand - a barber's shop like they used to make them! This is a full on Thai barber and foreigners do not seem to come here - shame! A hair wash costs 50 Baht, a hair cut 60 Baht, a shave 40 Baht - have a shave just for the experience of someone else putting a cut throat razor to your throat! A cut and a color will cost you 250 Baht.
