Khao
San Club Crawl...
Friday 24th April
2009 saw the pre-launch of the Khao San Club Crawl - a wild
wander down Khao San Road taking in its best clubs and bars
on the way. And it was a total riot! With minimal advertising
60 people eventually got on board and plenty of friendships
were made. The night kicked off with a pre-dinner on Sunset
Strip where "crawlers" enjoyed discounts on what were already
affordable prices for some excellent food. Then it was down
to Mulligan's for a couple of hours to enjoy some free shots
and discounts on drinks. Next Lava, and then The Club for
some wicked sounds, with everyone eventually ending up in
Gazebo for a night that just went on and on! A cracking start
to what is going to be THE Khao San Road event.
Tonight, 1 May
2009, sees the Khao San Club Crawl kick off in earnest… From
now on this is a weekly event always held on a Friday. This
is THE event and THE way to meet people. It's a night you
will never forget so get on board - contact us using the form
here to let us know you want to come.

It's
Official - a Pad Thai Sensation...
If you find you are living your life on Pad Thai (fried noodles),
better head down to New
World City Hotel on Samsen Road - about 10 minutes walk
from KSR. Last week they had a bit of a party celebrating
the fact that they officially have the best Pad Thai in Thailand!
They received the reward at a cook in organized by the Tourism
Authority of Thailand which included participants from every
part of the kingdom. Pad Thai is available every night in
the hotel's restaurant buffet which comes in at just less
than 200 Baht per person for as much as you can eat! Wander
down and check out Pad Thai as it was intended it to be! |

Awesome

Awesome
footage of this year's Songkran celebrations on Khao San Road
courtesy of MonkeyBoyStudio. Check it out here: Songkran
on Khao San Road, Bangkok, Thailand - 2009. This is evidence
enough that people had a good time regardless of the chaos
going on in the capital!

| Chiang
Mai University TEFL |
 |
|
This
is the only TEFL course in Thailand (in fact one of the few
worldwide) that is accredited by an actual university. It’s
on a par with other certificate-level courses in terms of depth
and instruction, with a full 120 hours of instruction (over
4 full time weeks) and significant classroom hours with hands
on experience. A shorter, cheaper online course is also offered.
Both methodology and phonics are taught, along with classroom
management, lesson planning, interactive activities and materials,
textbook review and grammar refreshers. Their certificate is
internationally recognised and Chiang Mai is probably the cheapest
and, students tell us, the most relaxed place in Thailand to
be studying TEFL - the campus is beautiful. Click here for more
details on the Chiang
Mai University TEFL courses. |

| SIT
TESOL Certificate Course |
|

|
|
The
SIT TESOL Certificate Course continues to go from strength to
strength. With courses held at the AUA Language Centers in Bangkok
and Chiang Mai, employers now recognise the course as one of
the highest quality teacher preparation courses available. Course
participants report that finding work after the course has been
a breeze. On top of that, they say that they have been able
to enter the classroom with confidence, knowing exactly how
to make a lesson work. It seems that a rigourous, demanding,
and stimulating course, has its pay-off in the in terms of employment
and job satisfaction. Click here for more information about
SIT courses in Bangkok
or Chiang Mai. |
