SUHAFOL
Wim Van Aelst (lacphunglien@yahoo.com) writes: "Dear Sir,I have a request from you. Could you please help me to find the father of my sister? I'm a Vietnamese lady, and I'm trying to reunite my sister (Sa) and her father, who is named SUHAFOL and served as a captain in the Royal Thai Army Volunteer Force (RTAVF). He was in Vietnam as member of the G 2 RTAVF in 1971 in the Bearcat camp and went back to Thailand on 12 January 1972 and later went to the US to study for 3 years. He had a daughter with my mother Nguyen thi Huong (born in 1951), named Sa, born in 1971. We think he was a member of the Thai Black Panther Division during the Vietnam war. He was probably born around 1934. For me it's very difficult to find anything about him. I am looking for the man in the pictures for more then 30 years. If anyone has any information about him, please contact me at: lacphunglien@yahoo.com" This is a tall order, but if there is anyone with information out there, help Wim out. Let us know.

James Michael Brass
Richard Brass writes: "I am looking for my brother James Michael Brass. He departed Los Angeles for Bangkok in May of 2001. We have not heard from him since that time and want to make sure he is OK. Through our search we think he may have first taught English in Bangkok in the Khaosan Rd area and may now be in Phuket teaching English. Mike was born on October 14, 1947, he is about 5'6" and is balding. I have attached his picture hoping someone has seen him. If anyone has information on Mike they can email me at rtbrass@comcast.net or at rbrass@simmons.com. Any help would be appreciated. I can also be contacted by phone at 206-547-4234 Thank you. Mikes brother, Richard Brass"

Missing Dutch Tourists

Wednesday the 18th of December 2002 five people went missing while travelling by small pumpboat, called Sto Nino, for a snorkeling trip from San Juan - Siquijor to Apo Island (Philipines). They never arrived and up till now nothing and nobody has been found. The small pumpboat is about 5 to 6 mt long, yellow with green lines. The boat has bamboo outriggers.
The current would have taken them in the direction of Sulu Sea towards the coastline of Sabah, around the city of Sandakan (Malaysia) . The families of the Dutch tourists are offering a reward of USD 10.000 to anyone who can give information that will lead to the recovery of the Dutch tourists. For more details and information visit the website http://www.marcel-jacco.com. Please help us locating the missing persons! When you have information contact: ahannewijk@zeelandnet.nl. Careljan van Wezel

Help wanted for missing Dutch backpacker Careljan van Wezel also called Charlie from Haarlem, Holland, has disappeared on the 17th of February in Tanah Rata, the Cameron Highlands, Malaysia. He left his hotel the Cameronian Inn in the morning for a walk (as usual) and didn't show up since then. We have serious doubts about his leaving, considering the fact that he left his medication, backpack and phone in his hotelroom. There have also been done very strange payments with his credit card in Ipoh, almost 200 km away from Tanah Rata. That's why the police takes into account the possibility of a robbery or kidnapping. If you have seen him, especially on the 17th of February, in this area, please let us know.

Jeanie Mam

This might be difficult, but if anyone can help, we can! Joan Olds (oldsplay@aol.com) wrote: "I am in search of a possible Jeanie Mam. The daughter of a Marine James Aubrey Blakley, my step brother. He was in Thailand in 1967 after a tour of Da Nang during the Vietnam War. She has tried to contact our family this past year in the USA. Her mother may still be alive and we would love to get in contact with her. Her mother's surname was 'Mam', so James' daughter is very probably called Jeanie Mam. The picture above shows James and Ms. Mam. If anyone has any information at all, please email me or call me on 731-738-2971 (USA)." OK - we think Mam is a first name... See what you can do!

Monique Messing from Doorn in the Netherlands is looking for Georgo Leydekkers. JAMIE MARR

Jamie Marr has been missing since 1994. Given the number of sightings that have occured, it's clear he is in Thailand. He passed through Khao San Rd. when he first arrived in Bangkok (as many travelers do). According to his journal, he stayed at Mam's. Jamie is part Chinese and it would be fairly easy for him to mix in with Thais (except for his height, of course) and keep a low profile.
