  There is no evidence that Marco Polo actually came to Khao San Road, nor can we say for sure that he stayed at this guesthouse. However, if he was on Khao San Road right now and looking for budget accommodation, this is the place he would choose! Marco Polo is one of the original Khao San guesthouses and definitely old school. Clean and functional rooms at very, very reasonably prices for somewhere right in the heart of things. Rooms are air-conditioned with adjoining bathrooms and room prices are easy to remember: 350 Baht a night or 300 Baht a night. What’s the difference? 350 Baht rooms have hot water. All rooms are double or single.  
 
 
  Not only is Marco Polo right in the heart of the action, it's right next to and above the action, too! Only 30 seconds away from Suzie Pub (regularly voted one of the top ten bars in Bangkok), it couldn't be better located. Another advantage, you can swim at the Buddy Lodge swimming pool for 50% off (making it 100 Baht a time instead of 200 Baht)! That's only 2 minutes walk away so you can't complain at that! You can also leave you baggage at Buddy Lodge Hotel free of charge if you are staying at Marco Polo. Even better value, room guests stay free of charge (but must have proper identification).
