Lamai (Ko Samui) is "Magic bungalows".
Set on a very pleasant part of the main
beach (the front bungalow is actually
on the sand!) 350Bt a night gets you a
clean bungalow with toilet, shower and
fan.(some with a/c cost a little more).
Very nice people and good restaurant.
I live and work in Hatyai and have stayed
at Magic many times and have never had
cause to fault the place. I defy anyone
to find a cheaper place in that location,
quite honestly...I don't know how they
do it!"

"I was staying in Chaweng Beach at "Baan
Chaweng Resort" just across the street
from disco "Green Mango", but in the resort
you don't hear a sound from it... It was
about 17 Euro for 1 night Without breakfast.
But next door there is a breakfast restaurant
and lots of acco.... Good for younger
people in the middle of the center, just
across the beautiful Golf Of Thailand...Cheers...Chokdi
Krab.. " Andy - thanks... This is
the sort of information we need...

at Nara Garden Resort on Ko Samui. Although
it is on the northern part of the island,
it is only a five minute ride to the bars
and nightlife of Chaweng Beach. I stayed
there twice last year and the location,
quietness, and the friendly staff made
it memorable. And, due to the fact that
it was low season, I was able to negotiate
a low room rate including breakfast and
a scooter for under $25/night."
