Welcome
to Kite Boarding Asia (KBA). We are a kiteboarding school situated in the beautiful
town of Hua Hin on the east coast of Thailand only an easy 3 hours drive from
Bangkok. A great location for Kiteboarding, the coastline in this area is made
up of long sandy uncrowded beaches and consistent winds from November to February
(northeast monsoons) then from March to May (afternoon sea breezes).
Our
school is situated in an area which makes it ideal for beginners to learn. The
wind always blows cross onshore / side shore and our teaching area is located
on a beach 5 kilometers long. This allows the beginner to really practice, and
go down wind as far as they like (something that happens when learning). So after
our course, you can safely practice to your hearts content without having to worry
about obstacles downwind and the need of a safety boat.
Hua Hin is the
oldest beach town resort in Thailand with the honor of he HRH King Phumiphon having
his royal summer palace located here. For this reason the town has kept its unique
charm and its beautiful beaches. Hua Hin is easily accessible by plane with flights
from Bangkok, Singapore, Koh Samui and Phuket in addition to direct bus and train
connections.
Kiteboarding / kitesurfing or flysurfing is the newest and
fastest growing water sport in the world. It draws from older sports such as wake
boarding, snowboarding, windsurfing and even skateboarding, creating a sport with
everything.
The diversity of this sport is already apparent with a growing
number of riding styles, boards and kite designs. It is very exciting to be involved
at such an early stage with a sport destined to evolve into one of the sports
