There is no evidence that Marco Polo actually came to Khao San Road. However, if he was on Khao San Road right now and looking for budget accommodation, this is the place he would choose! One of the original Khao San guesthouses and definitely old school. Clean and functional rooms at reasonable prices for somewhere right on KSR. Rooms are air-conditioned. Morning Star Resort is located just ten driving minutes from Haad Rin - the home of the full moon party. Morning Star Resort offers a range of Thai Style Beachfront bungalows surrounding the swimming pool which have recently been refurbished and finished in a Boutique style interior. The bungalows are reasonably priced from 1,150 Baht to 3,750 Baht per night.
The beach at Ban Kai is beautiful and stretches all the way along the coast to Ban Tai and beyond - the biggest stretch of beach coast on Koh Phangan.
